Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) has chosen Sheila Shaibu, PhD, RN from Botswana as the first recipient
of the first Sigma Theta Tau International/Alpha Eta Collaborative Research Grant. Dr. Shaibu's research study
is "The Experiences of Grandmothers Who Are Taking Care of Orphan Grandchildren." This research award will allow
Dr. Shaibu to conduct a qualitative descriptive study using grounded theory, which will explore the experiences
of grandparents who are taking care of orphaned grandchildren in Ramotswa, Botswana. Alpha Eta Chapter congratulates
Dr. Shaibu on this important work. More information about the award and application can be found
